A remote town with 97% poverty rate

Mahiyanganaya is a town located in the heart of Sri Lanka, about 200km away from Colombo. In Pali, Mahitanganaya translates to flat land and thus there is a large number of paddy fields. The agricultural industry only earns an individual about 3000 rupees a month (~$30 AUD). Regain Sight has raised the funds to provide 30 lens for the Mahiyanganaya Hospital.
